Art is an affirmation of life.  In fact all human activity affirms the reality of our lives.  That includes rest.  Just because one rests doesn't mean that something isn't being accomplished.   In our very, very busy lives, rest  can be restorative; a space between the notes of activity, work and play.

If being physically active can help us grow in confidence and self-esteem, rest is a way to underscore and keep those benefits of activity as a grounded part of our living.
